Brave

Easily one of the most trusted names in animated filmmaking, Pixar is back with another original story for children and adults, alike. Following behind a pair of franchise sequels (Toy Story 3 and Cars 2), with Brave the studio is set to tackle its very first full-length princess fairy tale story – a staple of Disney’s hand-drawn animated classics. This round, Pixar alum and John Carter co-writer Mark Andrews is stepping into the director’s chair, after the film’s creator, Brenda Chapman (The Prince of Egypt), left the project following a series of creative differences.

Brave (originally titled The Bear and the Bow) follows reckless tomboy Princess Merida (Kelly Macdonald) whose mother, Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson), has been diligently preparing her for a life of royal responsibilities. Unlike more traditional Princesses, Merida takes after her warrior father, King Fergus (Billy Connolly), and would much rather be riding through the forest on horseback firing arrows, or climbing mountains, than dressing for a royal function or practicing proper etiquette. Her rebellious attitude comes to a head when the Queen invites three leaders in the kingdom to present their sons as suitors for Merida, and the Princess makes a deal with a local witch who promises to help change the girl’s fate. Unfortunately, the witch’s spell results in unexpected consequences, forcing Merida to rethink her obligation as Princess – for the sake of her family as well as the betterment of the kingdom.

Brave provides plenty of eye candy for animated film fans. The hair effects alone are incredible – not to mention the gorgeous rolling hills of the Scottish countryside. Additionally, the movie offers a solid story that, in spite of a heavy reliance on familiar archetypes, manages to put a unique stamp on the fairytale genre. Merida isn’t exceptionally different from prior Disney Princesses (who yearn to be free of their responsibilities and live a “normal” life) but the similarities won’t prevent audiences from identifying with the character or her personal journey.

Dark Passenger

Dark Passenger

Guys this post is gonna be a little bit different, we gonna talk about the new movie from the trilogy of Batman which is literally blowing up!!

‘’It was a dark theater, playing a movie that includes gunshots, in the middle of the night. So when a gunman burst through an exit door, threw a gas can into the crowd and began shooting, many inside the Aurora, Colorado, theater didn't realize what was happening.
"I think we were 15 minutes in, and there was a chase scene where there was gunfire on screen," moviegoer Quentin Caldwell said. "And right then out of nowhere on the right side of us we hear a very distinct 'pop, pop, pop, pop.'"
His wife jumped, Caldwell said, but "I kind of sat there, thought it was probably just really good special sound effects."

But soon other patrons of the midnight showing of "The Dark Knight Rises," the new Batman movie, began to say that there was a shooter in the theater -- and Caldwell saw people wounded.
One young couple was holding a bleeding woman by her face and guiding her down the stairs, Caldwell said.
"I looked to my right and another gentleman is holding his stomach and running down the stairs trying to get out of there," he said.

Even after they left the theater, some people stayed behind not understanding what happened and thinking the movie might continue.’’ CNN

Synopsis

The epic conclusion to Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises, is in theaters this weekend, and it is sure to dominate the box office. In the ReelzChannel special The Dark Knight Rises: The Battle for Gotham.
Bale took a moment to tell us about the first time and the last time he put wore Batman's cowl. The first time, Bale tells us, "I needed twenty minutes just to be able to try and breathe and not want to quit the movie because I felt so claustrophobic.” On his last day of shooting, he took another twenty minutes. It seems that the last time he took off the suit, he needed to absorb the bittersweet fact that he would never wear it again.
The actor also discussed what he learned about himself while playing Bruce Wayne and Batman. According to Bale, he learned about stamina, discipline, and having “sweat dripping out of your boots.” He also learned that a person as extraordinary as Bruce Wayne struggles with the questions and dilemmas that plague everyone.

Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy concludes with this Warner Brothers release that finds The Dark Knight pitted against Bane, an unstoppable foe possessed of tremendous physical and intellectual strength. Nearly a decade after taking the fall for Harvey Dent's death and disappearing into the darkness, a fugitive Batman (Christian Bale) watches from the shadows as the Dent Act keeps the streets of Gotham City free of crime. Meanwhile, an elusive cat burglar seizes the chance to strike, and a masked anarchist plots a devastating series of attacks designed to lure Bruce Wayne out of the shadows. Determined not to abandon the people who he once risked his life to protect, The Dark Knight emerges from his self-imposed exile ready to fight. But Bane (Tom Hardy) is ready, too, and once Batman is within his grasp, he will do everything in his power to break Gotham City's shadowy savior. Oscar-winner Michael Caine and Gary Oldman return in a sequel also starring Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi.

Two Sides, our new Framework

This week  on your favorite cinema blog, you’ll find  a new framework  called
                                                        Two Sides

On this section we gonna present two differents opinions, thoughts about the movie tabloid of The week!! So starting our section,  here it is the two sides of Lol, the most recently film of the ex-Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus

According to Yahoo! Movies  , the film raked in a total of $46,000 over the weekend. Seeing as it had a limited release in 105 theaters nationwide, that means the film made only $440 per theater. Those numbers are (dare we say?) pretty laughable.
The poor performance of LOL is somewhat bewildering for the popular singer, who has 5.6 million followers on Twitter. Her previous film, The Last Song, took in $63 million and proved she could attract an audience beyond her Hannah Montana fan base. Box office analyst Len Klady told Yahoo! that there was no real advertising campaign for the film, and not a hint of publicity was done in any major media outlets by Miley or co-stars Demi Moore, Ashley Greene, Thomas Jane, and Austin Nichols. The film didn’t even have a proper premiere event.

So what gives? Some have speculated that waning interest from distributor Lionsgate Films had much to do with the lackluster box office performance.
Miley herself doesn’t seem to be batting an eyelash at the movie’s poor reception. Yesterday, the starlet  cheerfully tweeted , “Thank u so much for everyone who went to see LOL. It is a film I loved making and I am proud of...That’s really all that matters to me.”
Despite the DOA status of LOL, the singer will hopefully bounce back with the release of her upcoming summer comedy So Undercover, which co-stars Joshua Bowman and Jeremy Piven. And despite losing a judging gig on The X-Factor  to fellow tween queen Demi Lovato, Miley is in potential talks to host the popular talent show .
‘’Thank u so much for everyone who went to see LOL. It is a film I loved making and I am proud of.... That's really all that matters to me. ‘’ tweet of Miley
The movie business is unpredictable and all of your loyal fan base was more than a little distracted by Marvel's latest blockbuster.
We haven't seen the movie, but even if it isn't that great, everything will be okay! Every great actress has some stinkers lingering   on their resume, right?
Miley's next stab at box office glory is coming out on June 27 when she plays an undercover FBI agent investigating a college sorority in So Undercover.
Her only competition will be BraveAbraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter,G.I. Joe: Retalliation, and Magic Mike so…uhh…maybe they should push that release date back. LOL!
Other side

Starting a new year of high school, Lola, (or "Lol," as her friends call her), works to find the right balance between family, school, friends and romance. Broken-hearted by her ex, Lol's world is soon turned upside down when she is surprised to find her best friend, Kyle, a musician in an up and coming rock band, could possibly be the love of her life. In her quest towards independence, self-identity and young adulthood, Lol discovers that while Facebook "status" is easy to change; true relationships are worth the effort.

So dear   bloggers what’re your opinion ? #TSTH
